Old Cambridge Baptist Church has a vibrant and diverse music ministry, which is coordinated by our music director and choir master, Thomas Jones.  The OCBC choir can be heard at most of our regular Sunday services with instrumental accompaniment from our organist/pianist Kathy Maskell. Many of our parishioners are very musically gifted and periodically provide additional vocal and instrumental music for our services.  Special music programs (which include larger instrumental ensembles and additional music) are organized for our Christmas, Epiphany, Easter, and Pentecost services.

Many members of the OCBC community participate in our choir, which provides music at most of our worship services.  The above photograph shows the OCBC choir (with brass ensemble) under the direction of our Minister of Music Thomas Jones on Easter Sunday, 2010.

All are welcome to participate in the OCBC choir, regardless of their past musical experience.  Most choir practices are on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM (i.e., before the worship service).  If you are interested in joining or would like more information, please speak to a member after Sunday worship or contact the church office.

In 2008, under the direction of Thomas Jones, the OCBC choir recorded a CD titled Total Praise.  The eleven tracks (listed below) cover a wide range of musical genres; some are a cappella while others include the accompaniment of Kathy Maskell.  If you are interested in purchasing this CD (for yourself or as a gift), please contact us, stop by our office, or visit us for Sunday worship.
