On June 11, 2011, parishioners of OCBC joined those from First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain and First Baptist Church in Newton to help staff the Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists (AWAB) table at Boston Pride.

On March 20, 2011, OCBC celebrated in a worship service and reception the reunification of a congregant with three of his children, whom he had not seen since he fled political persecution in Cameroon over seven years ago.  Their relocation and resettlement was partially funded by the generosity of the OCBC congregation and of the American Baptist Home Mission Society’s (ABHMS) Office of Immigration and Refugee Services.

On December 7 and 8, OCBC participated as a non-profit partner in presenting the World's Largest Wallet with the wallet company Big Skinny.  You can learn more about the project and the other non-profits involved here.
